The next Local Government Election is in October 2023.
4 Seats will be open for the Shire of Trayning.
Shire of Trayning Council consisting of seven (7) elected members.
Local government elections in Western Australia are held every two (2) years in October. Elected members are elected to their positions for a four-year term.
The Shire of Trayning’s ordinary elections are administered by the Returning Officer and for the first time for the Shire, Voting will be conducted by Postal Vote.
While voting in a local government election is not compulsory in Western Australia, all electors are strongly encouraged to vote.
Results of Election
Early Voting
Polling for early votes starts on the day of publication of the election notice and ends at 4.00pm on the day before the election day.
Applications for postal voting papers for a particular election need to be received before 4.00pm on the 4th day before the election day. If received after that, the application is for elections generally and is to be treated as relating to a future election. Postal votes can be received up to the close of poll on election day.
