The Mitigation works will be completed prior to the end of June to provide asset protection zones (APZ) to reduce the risk of fire around existing infrastructure. The Trayning Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services Unit would like a map of the Shire showing the locations of water tanks that farmers will let them access for fire fighting purposes and the fittings required to connect to them. If you have a tank that they can use in an emergency, please email or phone the coordinates to the Shire office with the details of the type/size of fittings needed – one day it might be your stock, infrastructure or house that needs saving!
