We encourage residents to be prepared for the potential storms to ensure your homes and properties are safe: -Secure loose outdoor items (trampolines, furniture, bins, etc.) -Check gutters and down pipes are clear -Park vehicles undercover or away from trees where possible -Ensure pets have access to safe, sheltered areas -Trim any loose branches around your property

If your Club or Organisation wants a grant or sponsorship from council, it is IMPORTANT that a written Grant Application Form be lodged. Community Grants will generally be to a maximum of $500. Requests for grants above $500 will be considered provided the club or organisation combined with any other external grant funding is contributing two thirds of the project cost.

As you are aware Council recently installed CCTV cameras at the Kununoppin and Yelbeni Refuse sites, the purpose of which was to help capture information pertaining to the illegal disposal of rubbish from persons / companies from outside of the Shire. Unfortunately, on the evening of Saturday 3rd January 2026, a person or persons unknown removed and stole the security gates and CCTV camera from the Kununoppin site, whilst the incident has been reported to the Police, and they are investigating Council would appreciate any information from the community that can help apprehend the culprits. Thanking you in anticipation for any information you may be able to provide.
